Individual Dog Registration
When registering your breeding dogs-
- Fill out the Application for an Individual dog.
- Pay the fees for your registration.
- Signed pedigree from the original breeder of the dog with DOB’s up to the great grandparents if the pedigree is from another club.
- *If this dog has been registered with the ALCA already – Please go to the “Transfer of Ownership” form and provide proof of ownership/breeding rights (Sales Contract) along with the ALCA pedigree, DO NOT fill out this application.
- If your dog came from an ALCA Breeder Member, you will be given a Litter Registration paper from the breeder at the time of Purchase.
- Submit a copy of the contract/bill of sale/agreement, of your design and content, as a consent to use the puppy as a breeding dog.
- Information that would be helpful to have in the contract/bill of sale:
- Name of dog, birth date, microchip, sex. color/hair/size.
- Printed names and signatures of seller/buyer and date.
For all dogs registered after February 1, 2019,
the below testing is required:
- Hip and Elbow Testing (OFA, eVet Diagnostics, PennHIP, or AVA accepted
- OFA Eye Exam (Previously CERF) (Form available on the Orthopedic Foundation of America website. @ https://www.ofa.org/veterinarian/application-forms.
- OFA Patellar Luxation (Form available on the OFA website @ https://www.ofa.org/veterinarian/application-forms.
- OFA Congenital Cardiac – Form available on OFA website @ https://www.ofa.org/veterinarian/application-forms
- Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (prcd/PRA)
- Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)
- Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC)
- Von Willebrand Disease (vWb)
- Improper Coat/Furnishings (IC)*we only accept: Optigen, Paw Print Genetics, DDC.
CHECK LIST:
- Litter Registration (if purchased from ALCA member).
- Hip and Elbow Evaluation Report
- PRA clearance (DNA test required ) Paw Print Genetics Partner providing discounts to our members.
- OFA Eye Certification results (must be completed by an animal Ophthalmologist).
- Pedigree Certificate (must be provided by and signed by the breeder that whelped the dog).
- Other test results and DNA tests required. (See above list)
